Welcome to the Web Site of Bangor Rugby Football Club

Bangor Rugby Football Club fields three Senior teams, the 1st XV in Ulster Qualifying League 1, the 2nd XV in Ulster Junior League 1 and the 3rd XV in Ulster Minor League East 2. The club also has an U-19 XV in the new Ulster U-19 league. Youth  Rugby at the new U-17, U-15 and U-13 age group levels is a developing section within the Club, while Mini and Maxi rugby has been thriving over the last decade, with over 180 children participating at all age groups in the season just passed. Bangor 1st XV lost out to Cooke last Saturday at Upritchard Park in a scrappy disappointing match by 21-11. Cooke showed more hunger in the first half, building up a 13-3 lead through two good tries through winger Alan Hall and centre Keith Armstrong, and a penalty by out-half Rob Mitchell, to a penalty by Phil Neal. Bangor's second half performance improved, both kickers adding a penalty each before Cooke turned defence into attack to extend their lead to 21-6 with a try by substitute Neill before Stephen Addy scored a consolation try for Bangor with seven minutres remaining.
